The Jebel Ali Golf Resort in Dubai is
situated within the Jebel Ali Hotel complex on the seafront in Dubai.
The 9 hole, 3,299 Yard, Par 36, golf course was designed by Peter Harradine and was officially opened in 1998.

Jebel Ali Golf Course, based at the award winning Jebel Ali Golf Resort has previously hosted top legendary players including Tiger Woods and Ernie Els in the Desert Classic pre tournament. The 9-hole, par 36, championship standard course is situated within the idyllic grounds of the resort. Each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs and original desert flora and also features a saltwater lake which comes into play on five holes. The wooden gazebos, views of the Arabian Gulf and peacocks which freely roam the fairways have added a special charm to this course that is a fair and exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.

The Jebel Ali Golf Resort course is an excellent 9 hole option to the Dubai 18 hole Golf scene in a secluded part of Dubai, by the sea.

As the title suggests - a hidden gem, especially for value. I really quite like it.

Hidden gem

Golf Course Tip

My Golf Course Tip
Fairways are narrow by Dubai standards.

Pros and Cons Reviews

Pros
Relatively cheap green fees by Dubai standards - genuine value for money. Course is challenging in a different way as fairways are narrower than other Dubai courses. Ironically, the course layout minimizes ball losses though. Most locals rate the course as enjoyable and good value. Not as technically challenging as other local courses so gives you a more relaxed round without being too easy.
Cons
Not the usual standards of Dubai clubhouse luxury as other more prestigious local courses. course standards of maintenance are good but not excellent - we are too spoilt here in Dubai. Can have a few too many holiday makers who are looking to play golf just because its within the hotel grounds. Course is a little on the short side by Dubai standards. Obviously it's a 9 hole course so variety of holes is limited. Conversely, a great place for a quick 9 holes!

Managed to play Jebel Ali for the first time last week, really good course. Lovely setting, peacocks roaming the course and you are without villas surrounding the fairways!!
Like the fact there is some elevation on the Tees creating a different aspect from some of the other flat Dubai Courses.
The 2 Par 3's are both very pleasing on the eye as well as challenging shots. If you get a chance to play a quick 9 holes while in Dubai, well worth it, great design.

I played a round at the Course and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a different feel to some of the other courses, really felt tucked away and could have been in another country. Generally in very good condition, friendly staff.
