Al Badia Golf Club, Dubai, information page.
Al Badia Golf Club by InterContinental Dubai Festival City boasts an 18-hole championship golf course designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones II and was officially opened in 2005.
As well as award winning club house facilities, the serene and picturesque setting beautifully complements the dynamic bars and restaurants of Al Badia Golf Club in the Dubai skyline.
The Al Badia Golf Club layout incorporates eleven lakes, several smaller ponds, streams and numerous cascading waterfalls. Strategically, water is used for lateral hazards as well as carry hazards on twelve of the holes.
Al Badia Golf Club “rivers of sand” concept adds another layer of texture to the design – providing a visual extension of the lakes and streams. These sand areas provide visually crisp playing surfaces that, unlike bodies of water, give a golfer the opportunity to recover from an errant shot.
With native Arabian plants and tress, the design also focuses on environmental responsibility – evident through the use of Paspalum grass, specifically SeaIsle 2000 on the greens and SeaIsle I on the tees and fairways.
Al Badia Golf Club provides a challenging round for the seasoned golfer, Al Badia is also welcoming for the recreational player. Four sets of tees are featured on each hole – with most offering a variety of teeing angles. The course can be played from the maximum 7,303 yards for championship players, down to 5,398 yards for newer players.

Take plenty of balls with you
Club house and range are new and excellent condition. Fairways are not very long and demanding from yellow tee. But water hazards near every hole create extra difficulty. Green fee is quite high compared similar courses in Europe.

Great course and facilities
This is one of my favourite courses in Dubai - the course is always wel kept and the service is excellent plus the club facilities are very good. Standards in Dubai are very high generally compared to say the UK so this would rate 5 star against most UK clubs but comparing with Dubai golf clubs, although excellent, is quite expensive. The fairways are quite wide and forgiving in places while also being challenging with plenty of water hazards etc and the flora and fauna adds an extra attraction.
